Bloomsbury

British luxury heritage, updated for a new generation

Bloomsbury was created as a retail space devoted to British Heritage brands, situated, perhaps unsurprisingly in the Bloomsbury district of London’s West End.

The area is notable for its array of garden squares, literary connections, and numerous cultural and educational establishments, including the British Museum.

SUM was briefed to create a brand identity that would represent timeless values of heritage, quality, attention to detail, and luxury, together with a genuine dedication to aesthetics.

One particularly important element within this brief was the design and manufacturing of Bloomsbury’s packaging.

Having created initial packaging designs, several luxury brand packaging suppliers were invited by SUM to develop samples in line with the brand guidelines and visuals that we had prepared.

The results provided a modern take on luxury brand packaging while maintaining strong traditional values of heritage, quality, tailoring and style.
