Lisou is a modern wearable brand made from the finest silks combining bold prints with classic design.

All prints are exclusively designed in-house by the brand’s founder Rene Macdonald.

Having grown up in Tanzania, Rene moved to the UK at a young age but continued to be inspired by her travels to Africa where her family were based. She has developed a unique way of combining unexpected colours and creating vibrant prints, which makes each of her pieces so special and stand out.

The Lisou collection is full of wearable, classic shapes with a modern twist, and are made from the finest silks.

By re-imagining British prints, Lisou has been a champion of slow fashion at an accessible price point. Its mix of distinctive product and committed values has led to an ever-growing base of admirers both in the UK and in international markets.

Lisou came to us with a brief to reach the next level in their global online marketing.

While the brand had already achieved a substantial social following and a reasonable amount of traffic, the website was struggling to convert into as many sales as they had planned and there was therefore an ambition for the brand to perform at a higher level.

Following SUM’s appointment a number of significant milestones have already been achieved:

  • The website has seen a massive influx of new traffic, orders, and long term customer retention, thanks to great strides in SEO, PPC, and Social Media advertising channels.

  • SEO is a particular highlight. While the Lisou client had not initially expressed interest in investing in SEO, they agreed to run a test. This activity has resulted in considerable ongoing gains in rankings, traffic, and most importantly, sales.

  • Another highlight is the 196% increase in sales from Instagram, which with a follower-base of over 30K has generated a significant ROI.

    Within a few months, Lisou has achieved an increase of over 20% in traffic, 45% in total order volume, 28% in conversion, 36% in total sales, and a 90% growth in sales direct from marketing activities.
